Still hanging in

Uncle Scott and Aunt Sherry got us balloons the day the babies were born and brought them to us in the hospital. We brought them home and the babies have enjoyed looking at them. To our amazement they are still hanging around 9.5 weeks later.

Ethan went to the doctor again today to get checked out. His breathing has still been loud since coming home from the hospital after getting sick. They did a swallow study and watched the fluid go down into his belly. Then we went and saw another doctor that put a scope through his nose and down his throat. They didn't see anything wrong with his airway, besides a bit of reflux, and think he'll grow out of his noisy breathing and congestion. So for now we just have to keep attacking him with the bulb syringe and sucking out the buggers.

My three had their first cold in February and grew to hate the bulb syringe. I still have to strap their arms downs on the changing table. So I ended up getting a battery powered nasal aspirator and it's so much gentler, quicker and the darn thing even plays music! Graco makes it and I found it on Amazon.
