Listening

Image
We have been reading to the babies every day since they were born and even before they were born. They love getting to hear the stories and look at the pictures in the books. Occasionally, they even don't mind hearing the end of the chapter in Twilight that mommy is trying to finish before everyone is up from a nap and ready to play again. Yesterday, we all heard something very noisy. The Blue Angels were practicing for the airshow this weekend. Our house is right in the flight pattern for them to circle around and head back to the airport for another trick/fly-by. Nothing like a little noise during nap time. All of them roaring over head I was a second too late to get them in the loop for the picture

Cereal

Image
We set up the babies high chairs and had them try cereal today. They didn't mind the spoon so much but the texture of the stuff on it was a bit strange. I think Leah might have even eaten a bit. She kept making the best face, like why do you keep putting that stuff in my mouth. They all did well and didn't get too messy, we'll see if the reasonably clean eating continues. before after

One year ago today the most amazing thing happened. The test was finally positive. Little did we know there were 3 beautiful babies taking shape. I couldn't imagine it any other way. We are so blessed!

A weekend of celebrating

Image
This past weekend was exhausting, but great. Friday, we had 5 yards of lava rock delivered to finish up the front landscaping, we had the house cleaned for the party on Sunday, I had my oil changed in the van, and Logan and I went to a 1st b-day party for another set of triplets and took pictures. Saturday, we had my Mom in addition to 2 Aunts (Annette & LaVerne) and Grandma (visiting for the weekend) over for breakfast. Then we were all off to my Brother's for lunch. We made it home eventually for the night time feeding and collapsed into bed with the sound of fireworks outside...it was the 4th after all. Sunday, we prepared the house for the party and with my Aunt Annette's help we fed and dressed the babies for their Baptism. It was a wonderful day and we had a great party with friends and family. Before we knew it the day was over. I think I even gobbled down a sandwich during the party between visiting and soothing cranky babies. The party was a great success after a b...
