No Camera

Image
This past weekend was great...but I said "shucks" I don't have my camera several times. Friday afternoon - We took the boys to have their heads evaluated. Their heads are slightly flat on the left side so we chose to get helmets to help round them out. They go back in 2 weeks for a fitting. The boys looked so cute with the little dots all over their head and face for the digital scan that I wished I had my camera. I took a few photos with my phone, but don't want to pay to send them any where. Friday evening - We had a night out without the babies and went to our friend Wilson's wedding reception. We were running a bit late getting home and missed the wedding. The reception was beautiful and I wished I had my camera. I hijacked a friend's camera and took several pictures, but it wasn't the same. Here is one of the photos from our friend's camera. Yes - it's the same red dress from the cruise last year...it fits again!!! Holly, Me, Eric, Jen, and M...

6 Month Check-up

Grandma and I took the babies for their 6 month check-up this morning. We arrived a bit early so we had time to walk down the street and get some coffee. So the babies had their first trip to a coffee shop. Then after dropping Grandma off at home and with 3 sleeping babies in the car I attempted a trip to the grocery store by myself. The babies did great in the store. The only comments we got at the store were " aww how cute". I can handle that. Then it was home for lunch and a much needed nap. The check-up went great. Everyone is looking good and healthy. Ethan : 20 lbs 10oz and 26.5 inches Leah: 22 lbs and 26 inches Logan: 20 lbs 5oz and 26.5 inches The lengths recorded in their books seem strange because Logan is shorter than the other 2...but who knows.

Giggly Baby

The boys fell right to sleep and Leah was in a giggly mood and waited up for daddy to get home. She was even giggling at Missy when she came over to get some attention. I took a bit of video of her giggle because it was too cute. Tomorrow is their 6 month check up and shots. Hopefully she is still giggly after the shots.

It's a tooth

Image
Leah was having a hard time falling a sleep tonight. She was just about out and I was so gently putting her into bed...and then I sneezed. So we came back down stairs so she didn't wake up the boys with her fussing. I decided to rub her gums a bit for her to see if they were bothering her and what did I find, a tooth poking through.

Expressive

Image
The babies have gotten more expressive with the faces they make. They are way too cute, but I might be biased. Here are a few pictures from the last week or so.

It all fits

Image
Now that the babies are getting bigger and wiggling around more at night it was time for separate cribs. For a while Logan and Leah were still bunking together . They didn't move as much as Ethan. After several mornings of an unhappy Leah, because of getting kicked repeatedly, we moved the third crib into their room from the first floor. When they all still fit in one crib together it was nice having it downstairs for naps...less stairs to climb x3. Here's what it looks like having 3 cribs, a changing table, a rocker, and an ottoman in a 10 x 10 room.

Friends

Image
Every year Eric and his 4 good friends get together for a long weekend (guys only). This year they were accomodating and shortened the retreat to a 1 night (scammed into a 2 night) get away. They all came to us and spent their weekend locally...just in case. It was so much fun getting to see everyone!!! Pete & Dawn in mid move from DC to Seattle - thanks for all your help with the babies Josh - should have brought his girl friend for us to scrutenize for the weekend. Brandon & Alicia brought their 7.5 month old daughter to play with us...and stole a few toys. Paul & Pinky who live right down the street, but we haven't seen them much lately, we miss you guys. Sadly enough, their youngest daughter doesn't really know who we are. Everyone came to our house for a few hours to visit a week ago Saturday and then on Thursday we managed to leave our house for the evening with the babies and whent to our friends. Now that we have three kids, our friends have one, and our oth...

The Boys

6 Months

Image
I can't believe our amazing little peanuts are already 6 months old today. Ethan - He is determined to scoot around and get his toys. Unfortunately, he hasn't gotten the arm/leg coordination down for crawling yet and tends to push with his back legs and scoot forward on his head. Sometimes, he just roll over when he would rather be going forward. When he does roll over he is happier than a clam playing with his feet. He loves to grab and touch everything. Our dog Missy is especially fascinating to him. He had a bit of a slow start to eating solids, but after a week of spitting out cereal he now opens his mouth wide when he sees you getting a scoop of food out of a bowl in front of him...unfortunately sometimes the spoon full is not for him. All the babies are sitting now for brief moments. Ethan is too excited looking at everything and wiggling, so he tends to fall over the most. His new thing is to tell endless stories and talk all day. Leah - She is still content on her be...

New Toy - for Mommy

Image
I used my cool new toy for the first time last night. My mom got us a baby cooker so I'll be able to make my own baby food. Making baby food gives me the warm and fuzzes again. I stopped pumping for the most part about a month ago and I'm a bit sad to have to give the babies so much formula. At least I can save them from all the perservatives in baby food. I made sweet potatoes for the babies and will give them a shot this weekend. They are champs at eating so far. They suck down the cereal like they've been doing it forever. They just have the cutest messy faces. Ethan Leah Logan

2016

The overwhelming interruption is over and I can now return to all regularly scheduled activities... While I was off work for 2 weeks I started reading the Twilight Series. I finished the first book leisurely because I'd already seen the movie and knew where it was going...no surprises. Then 12 days ago I started the 2nd book. Since them I've read 2016 pages and completed the 3 remaining books. If only the other movies were already out then maybe I could have put the stupid books down. I'm sure Eric and Alex will be the most happy I'm done. Eric will be happy that I'll go to bed before midnight and be less crabby due to lack of sleep. I even fell asleep with my book open the other night. Alex our nephew will be happy because I'll update my blog again. After not having a new post for 9 days he was starting to give me a hard time. Fun pictures from the last 2 weeks to come....now that I have time again to play online and download the pictures off my camera.
