Flip

Image
The kids love to flip. They will go into downward dog (that is if they were doing yoga) and sit there till we roll them over. Daddy was a bit enthusiastic the other night and instead of a nice little roll on the ground they were swung into the air. They absolutely loved it giggling the whole time and getting right back into the head down pose to do it again.

Story Time

Story time just isn't as good if your not sitting in a box.

Puzzles

Image
Puzzles are one of those things that rank up there with books. We don't just give them free reign with the puzzles. So when we do bring out the puzzles they are always excited. With a little practice they have gotten pretty good at getting the pieces back in the right spots.

Fun with the couch

Image
Ever since they could climb up onto the couch we've worked at getting them to sit and get off feet first. But when it's a long day and they find something fun to occupy them for a good 30 minutes, couch etiquette goes out the window. Who needs all those big loud toys...

The Library

Image
Our first trip to the library was a great success. Grandma & Grandpa met us for a picnic lunch before heading into the library. So, we were all filled up and ready to play. Typically they love books and will sit and let you read the whole story and help turn the pages. At the library there was so much to see and do, they never sat still long enough to actually get through a book. Ethan was walking around the whole time saying book. Logan's mission for the trip was to reach every keyboard and push the buttons. Leah enjoyed watching a little girl play with the puppets. The best part of all was going up and down the steps in the reading nook and looking at the pictures on the tiles. Picnic Lunch Leah checking it all out (she looks so small) Logan strolling through the books Ethan sitting for a few seconds with a toy Logan taking a quick break to watch the fish Looking at the pictures in the reading nook.

The Great Escape

Image
A week or so ago we had quite the surprise. Ethan came walking into our bathroom in the morning while we were getting ready for the day. Aaaaaa!!!!! He got out of his crib. The first step was to remove their bumpers. I felt bad because they all liked to sleep along the edge of the crib, so they all still had their bumpers. We took them out and a few days later he jumped out again. So we really needed a better solution. Eric had the best idea of all, turn the cribs around. The back edge of the cribs are much taller than the front. It makes it a bit tough to lean in and lay them down, but they can't climb out. It's nice knowing that they are in a safe and secure place again. Ethan's arm hainging out Ethan and Logan

Holiday

Image
We had a great day today. We fit as much as possible into the last day of the holiday weekend. In the morning we took the kids to the park. My parents met us there which was a huge help. Chasing after 3 toddlers and trying to take pictures with only 2 people is tough. It was great practice for going up and down all the steps at the play scape. Then in the evening after their second nap we filled up the TINY kiddie pool, put them in their bathing suits, lathered them with 70+ sun screen, found a little bit of shade, and took them outside to play. The watter was a little cold, but the temperature was near 90F so they didn't mind too much. They had fun getting sprayed with the hose. We might need to get a bigger pool for next time. When I was shopping for the pool this one was the only pool that said it was for kids 1-3 yrs old...but that's probably for one kid not 3. The tiny pool was fun.
