Our Three Blessings

For some reason it is just so much fun to throw food on the floor... The babies have gotten really bad over the last few days about throwing food on the floor. They will scoop up huge hand fulls of food and just chuck it. The other day I came up with a solution that seemed to work, I gave them spoons. I helped them put food on the spoon and get it into their mouths. Ethan was even picking up food and placing it on his spoon and tried to get it into his mouth. I just hope the novelty of the spoon doesn't wear off too soon, Missy (our dog) is getting a little chunky. Ethan Logan Leah

Last Saturday before heading home from our Nephew's Birthday dinner we took Logan and Leah out to the swings in the park behind their house. Ethan was already falling asleep and didn't make it outside. This was their first time on big swings and they loved it. Logan Leah Daddy pushing Leah

Missy and I took the babies for a walk today.  They had fun wearing their hats.

We have successfully transitioned from bottles to sippy cups. A week ago Friday they had their last bottle. I can't say I'm going to miss washing them. We chose the Dr. Brown's bottles for the babies to reduce the amount of air they took in, but they have so many parts to wash. I packed up all the bottles this morning 16 (8 oz) and 5 (4oz) bottles. Leah saw them sitting on the counter and got a bit upset that they weren't for her. Then Ethan heard her fussing and came to figure out if he wanted what she was fussing about too. It's so neat to see them communicating more and understanding each other a bit.

Folding the clean baby clothes isn't always the top priority. I got a little behind, then we had a few warm evenings and I needed to find their clean pj's in the stack. The babies kept following me into the laundry room so I had to put all the clean clothes on the couch. They decided they were going to help me...

We all caught the same cold and have runny noses.  The babies were so warn out they all fell asleep on the 15 minute ride home from Grandma's on Monday.

Leah was inspired yesterday by the video of Logan walking. After we came in from walking the dog around the block, I stood Leah on her feet and figured she'd just squat down and crawl away like normal. She hesitated for a second so I heald out my hands for her to come to me. She shifted one foot a little and found a bit more confidence to shift the other one a little forward also. She took 4 steps to me. Then later after dinner I worked on getting it on video. We had a bit of a traffic jam. The best toy is always mom and her phone.
