Fun Saturday

Image
Saturday's are always the best. We aren't completely exhausted yet from being up with the babies at night and it's great getting to see them after not seeing them much during the week. While the babies were all up we had them in their chairs and playing. We did the hokey poky, but they found getting their whole self in challenging. So we decided to just take fun pictures instead. We even got a family photo, including Missy.

Happy Baby

The babies are starting to get really smiley. We were able to capture Leah on camera.

Story Time

Image
The babies are enjoying story time. They are so attentive. Leah follows daddy back and forth as he shows everyone the pictures in the book.

Still hanging in

Image
Uncle Scott and Aunt Sherry got us balloons the day the babies were born and brought them to us in the hospital. We brought them home and the babies have enjoyed looking at them. To our amazement they are still hanging around 9.5 weeks later. Ethan went to the doctor again today to get checked out. His breathing has still been loud since coming home from the hospital after getting sick. They did a swallow study and watched the fluid go down into his belly. Then we went and saw another doctor that put a scope through his nose and down his throat. They didn't see anything wrong with his airway, besides a bit of reflux, and think he'll grow out of his noisy breathing and congestion. So for now we just have to keep attacking him with the bulb syringe and sucking out the buggers.

First Walk

Image
We took the babies out on their first walk around the block today. It was the perfect day, 73 degrees and sunny. The sun was a challenge with trying to keep them covered, but it was all worth it. I think Missy enjoyed the walk the most. The babies mostly slept. Ethan wasn't so sure he wanted to be in his car seat, but was happy and wanted to keep going by the time we make the full loop. Ethan Leah Logan Naptime after the exciting afternoon.

2 Month Check-up

Image
Ethan, Leah, and Logan the world's cutest babies! The babies went for their 2 month check-up today. They are all doing great and acting just like 2 month old babies, no delays because of being born early. They are all holding up their heads, following us, responding to noises, cooing, and just starting to smile a bit. As part of their check up they were weighed and measured then compared to other babies their age. Ethan ~ 9 lb 13.5oz and 22 inches. He's in the 63th percentile for weight (chunk) Leah ~ 11 lb and 22 inches. She's in the 70th percentile for weight (super chunk) Logan ~ 8 lb 6.5oz and 20.75 inches. He's in the 10th percentile for weight (peanut) So, he gets to stay on the higher calorie formula and fortified breast milk for another month. The doctor thought everyone looked great and hoped to not see us again for another 2 months.

Soccer Mom

Image
I bring a whole new meaning to the term soccer mom. All I’m missing is the soccer ball window decal for my minivan. Today was a gorgeous day (60 degrees and sunny). I made it out at lunch to play soccer. Rain, shine, or snow there is a pickup game on Monday and Wednesday. Today there was a great turnout with about 7 people on each team. I’m definitely not in the shape I was before, but it beats walking around the track or on the treadmill. So, I guess there are 2 good things about being back to work, I get paid and I get to work out. They aren't quite up for soccer yet but they are ready to be on the move...I can just imagine what Leah is thinking. What is my diaper stinky, why are they trying to get away from me?

Two Months Old

Image
Happy Easter! This was the babies first Easter and they are two months old today. We didn't make it to church today or over to our family's houses for lunch/dinner, but we were so happy and blessed to have all the babies home. On Friday Ethan wasn't sounding good and he was struggling to breathe. So, Eric ended up taking him to the ER and he was admitted to the hospital for Friday night. They didn't find anything in his lungs and think it's irritation in his upper airway (nose & throat). So he's home and on steroids to try and help him breathe better. Now we just have to give it a few days and hope he clears up a bit and is feeling better. We didn't go to the mall, but the babies did get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Back to Work

I returned to work today. Everything went well. The babies stayed home with Grandma and didn't give her too hard of a time, they all just wanted to eat at the same time for her. I did ok at work too. They saved the work I was doing before going on the modified bedrest till I got back. Everyone was surprised and happy to see me at work and doing well. I'm just glad tomorrow is Friday. Unfortunately, we have to work tomorrow on Good Friday.

8 Weeks Old

Image
Wow - the babies are already 8 weeks old. They are getting so big and alert . They are fun to play with now, I can't imagine how fun they will be when they get older and start responding more. But for now they are just good happy babies. Logan and Leah had fun playing together today. Ethan joined in the fun. It's always great having so many siblings. There is always a hand around when your passy has gone missing. Aaaah the passy is much better than Leah's hand.

Clean bill of health

The nurse came again to check the babies today. Their lungs all sound clear and they are gaining weight like crazy!! Ethan 9lb 7oz Leah 9lb 12oz Logan 7lb 9oz

Soo Sad

The boys have the cutest pouty faces. So it's cute when they cry...as long as it doesn't last for hours.

Happy Anniversary

Image
Today is our 4th wedding anniversary. This year was definitely different than the last 3. We would typically go out to dinner and have some nice wine and have a quiet night. Tonight wasn't quiet but we had exactly what we wanted, our babies all home and us all together. We didn't go out to dinner or even have anything fancy, just some good pizza and pop. Last year for fun I tried on my wedding dress again and took pictures. This year I really don't have time to play between feedings and cleaning up from the feedings. But Leah and I did find time to play dress up. She is starting to outgrow a lot of her newborn outfits now that she is tipping the scales at 9 lbs. She once again weighs more than the boys. Leah in her cute outfit from Aunt Dawn. Leah's outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Just for good measure here are some cute pictures of the boys. Logan in the cute froggy outfit, he's a little messy so he gets the bib. Ethan in the cute outfit from Grandma and Grandpa...
