Corralling the masses
In an effort to create good habits with the babies and not have to break bad ones later we have gotten the babies into a good night time routine. They take a cat nap after their afternoon feeding then eat again around 6. We keep them up and play for an hour and a half then feed them again just before 8. Then after the 8pm feeding we put them down to sleep and read them a story. They are getting used to the routine and are more reliably sleeping 4-5 hours before getting up again. The best part is that they are all sleeping at the same time. On the weekend we try and throw a bath in there, but during the week Grandma does it earlier in the day.
Yesterday, Logan and Leah weren’t all too excited about the nap so I had them lying in the crib with Ethan who was sleeping (he gets pretty fussy, most of the time, so the sleep was good for him). I found a fun book to read them and they were just laying there grinning at me and having a great time. It was definitely a great start to the evening before the crazy feeding frenzy, after a long day at work.
