Our Three Blessings

On Tuesday they had their 18 month check-up Everyone looked good and was developing normally. Here are their current stats: Ethan Weight: 28lb 12oz (83%) Height: 33 3/4 inches (87%) Head: 20 inches (98%) Leah Weight: 26lb 9oz (83%) Height: 34 1/4 inches (97%) Head: 18 3/4 inches (79%) Logan Weight: 27lb 7oz (70%) Height: 33 3/4 inches (87%) Head: 19 1/4 inches (79%)

I'm constantly amazed at how quickly they are picking up on things and expressing what they want. The other night Leah was pointing at the computer and saying "ah apple" We've been playing with them on the starfall.com website. The abc's on the site are fun and has the right amount of music to keep us all entertained. Typically we will put the laptop on the table, just out of reach, and push the buttons for them. All three will stand shoulder to shoulder along the table with their noses just above the table so they can see. Each time we go through the letters with them they seem to be able to say something new.

I'm sad, I'll be without my camera for a week or so. Yesterday, I finally sent it back to Canon to get fixed. When I was pregnant and taking my belly pictures I dropped my camera. It fell onto the flash mounted on top of the camera and bent the flash shoe a bit...but I could hold the flash and get it to work a bit. Then a month or so ago I managed to drop it again. This time the flash really didn't work. I've been putting off sending it back then realized I'd need the flash working properly for their 18 month photos. With the flash not working properly the shoot would have taken twice as long and I'm sure everyone involved would have been frustrated. I love my camera. I have a Rebel XTi, which is just about right for taking fast moving triplets. In the mean time I'm now stuck using my old camera or my phone. My phone is usually the most handy...so I'll have to stick with good lighting and slow/stationary subjects. Flowers from Eric (taken with my phone)

Before kids, we had 4 kitchen chairs. They started walking, pushing them around the kitchen and broke two of the chairs by tipping them over. Once they discovered how fun it was to sit on the chairs and not fun to fall off the chairs, we moved all the chairs out. On special days we now have a great fort in the kitchen to go along with the couch fort in the family room. Two years ago today we had our first ultrasound and found out we were having triplets. 8-weeks-first-ultrasound We had no idea what to expect and were a little shocked, but ended up with three unique and wonderful kids. Logan, Ethan, & Leah

The kids love to flip. They will go into downward dog (that is if they were doing yoga) and sit there till we roll them over. Daddy was a bit enthusiastic the other night and instead of a nice little roll on the ground they were swung into the air. They absolutely loved it giggling the whole time and getting right back into the head down pose to do it again.

Story time just isn't as good if your not sitting in a box.
