Fun Night

Image
Despite the fact that I was running late leaving work today and had to run to my car through the poring rain, we had a great night! I was just getting home from our walk when Eric was pulling down the street. Since we had time before the babies were supposed to eat again we did another lap around our half of the sub (3/4 of a mile). Then he ran to get the dry cleaning and pick up some dinner (Taco Bell). Between the 2 of us we finished the 1st round of feeding the babies and had time to play with them before the 2nd feeding and bed. (We do a cluster feeding right before bed to get more food in them so they will sleep longer at night.) We had the babies on their tummies for a while, Eric read them a book, and they helped me put together their new activity center. They are still a bit young for the activity center, because they are just starting to get better at holding up their heads for longer amounts of time. But I put Leah and Ethan into the seat for a couple minutes and they both re...

100 Days Old

Image
The babies are 100 days old today. They have passed the typical 90 day return policy...but I know we wouldn't give them up for anything. They are perfect. For fun tonight we used the bathroom scale to see how much they weigh. Ethan - 14 lbs Leah - 15.5 lbs Logan - 12.5 lbs They are all getting so big. It's fun because they are fitting into their cute summer clothes...now we just need some nice warm weather. Leah, Ethan, & Logan Logan, Leah, & Ethan

Ethan is getting so big and strong. Tonight we went to the Baptism preparation class and my parents came over to babysit for us. Grandpa was playing with them on the floor and Ethan rolled over a couple times. Twice in one direction and once in the other. All I can think is Missy better watch out because before we know it he'll be crawling after her. The other two are not far behind him on rolling over. Ethan has always been our over achiever. When he was 2 weeks old I was taking their pictures and had him sitting on the ottoman next to me while I was figuring out why my flash wouldn't work. Before I knew it he was rolling off towards me. I'm good at catching and he didn't even notice anything had happened. We'll definitely have to be careful now. Ethan calling everyone to tell them what a big boy he is.

Over the river and through the woods

To Grandma's house they go. Yesterday we started taking the babies to Grandma's house to give her a break from coming to our house every day. Plus, their cousins and Grandpa will get to see them during the day and Grandma isn't by herself all day with them. They did well and we all had a first crack at the new routine. Poor Missy was once again left at home all day by herself, but I'm sure she will enjoy the sleep. She's been walking around sleepy ever since the babies were born. If everything works out as well as it did yesterday we will be able to go for a walk every day (weather permitting). Since all the babies were already in their car seats from the ride home, I was able to get them loaded right into the stroller and leash up Missy for the walk. I was really sad that they were leaving the house and going to Grandma's. The last time they were over there was when Logan got sick and they all made their way into the hospital with RSV. Since then I've just ...

Who do they look like?

Image
Our friends have had several kids and with each one there was always the debate; who do they looked like. Eric would always chuckle a bit over the whole discussion. Now that we have our own kids we found ourselves doing the same thing...he has your mouth, he has my mouth, he has your huge pumpkin head...and so on. It is actually a lot of fun to analyze all their little features and figure out where they came from. Lucky for us we ended up with some cute kids. While we were still in the hospital Eric's Mom brought up one of his baby pictures. It was amazing how much Ethan resembled Eric. Mostly for the huge pumpkin head. The other 2 babies have my head shape. When the babies were first born it was a bit hard to compare them to my picture because I was 11 lbs 8oz at birth and a chunk, but now they are starting to get there and it's a little easier to see the resemblance. So for fun. Here are Eric's and my baby pictures to compare with our trio. Eric as a baby Ethan Tracy ...

Before taking their 3 month photos all the babies got baths. They are all really starting to enjoy their baths now that it's not so cold out. They smile like crazy when I take their hands and splash in the water...probably not the best thing to teach them, but it's fun. Logan Ethan Leah

3 Months Old

On Tuesday the babies will be 3 months old already. So, this weekend I took their 3 month photos. Their individual photos are easy and fun but getting them to all be up and happy at the same time is always a challenge. I've found that most things with 3 babies is a bit of a challenge, but man are they fun. Ethan, Leah, and Logan Ethan and Logan Ethan Leah Logan
